I am a wife, a mother of two gorgeous children, and a friend. I am passionate about capturing moments on camera that will last forever, a moment that can never be repeated in the exact same way. Ever since I can remember I've had a passion for photography and probably got the bite at a young age observing my dad, who is also very passionate about taking photos and investing in good camera gear. Off to varsity I went to study Human Resource Management, nope not photography since my dad insisted I first do my University degree in Stellenbosch and after that I can follow my true passion. I did work in the HR industry for a few years, got married and, yes, had children, all this while I was building my photography business on the side.
I love to capture situations and moments in the most natural way possible, but I also love to work with people and hear their stories. I believe every person has something very valuable to add to this life and that we all have different talents, we just need to explore and embrace it. I am a very relaxed person and really go with whatever the situation brings and will at all times do my best to make the client feel comfortable, relaxed and enjoy the moment. I see photography as a form of art and therefore I simply love to capture moments and let the creative side of me blossom. I also believe that being professional at all times is really crucial in this industry and therefore I will always aim at being professional as I plan and do work for a client.
Who is Petrus van Eeden?
Petrus van Eeden is my husband, a dad, my best friend and also most of the time my assistant if I get asked to photograph a wedding. Ever since we bought my camera in 2013 Petrus has been very intrigued with photography and also have a very adventurous, fun and technical side to taking amazing photos. Many of my photos are either taken or edited by him and therefore we make an awesome team to photograph a wedding. You will certainly not be disappointed in choosing us as your wedding photographers. He is very much part of the business, as far as he has some time to contribute since he also works full time as a Production Manager in Howick.
Lastly I want to give all the credit to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, without whom I am lost and not able to be who I am today. He has given me everything that pertains to life and Godliness. To many great adventures ahead!

FAQ's
What is the golden hour?
The golden hour is the hour just after sunrise or the hour just before sunset. To create the best possible photos, soft light is the best way to create beautiful pictures. Please keep this in mind when planning your wedding day, as well as booking us for other photo shoots, as you will not be disappointed.
Do I work with an assistant?
Yes, I will always work with an assistant photographing your wedding day. In most cases it will be my husband, Petrus. In an event where he is not able to assist me I will be bringing another assistant, so please keep this in mind for catering purposes on your wedding day.
Where are you based?
I am based in Howick, Kwazulu-Natal. I can travel for you wedding day, so feel free to pop me an email so that I can give you an appropriate quote.
What are your wedding package options?
Feel free to drop an email so that I can send you a detailed contract including my wedding package options. A booking is only secured after the contract is signed and a 50% deposit is paid into my account.
